Our major project over the last few months has been the provision of technical support for the conversion of a 50m landing craft into an inter-island passenger ferry. The works undertaken included extensive structural design and drawings in addition to intact and damage stability analyses and production of the final stability booklet.

Another project recently undertaken was the design and drawings of sea-fastenings for a drill sampling rig and tower which was retrofitted to an offshore supply vessel. This included very close liaison with Class in order to meet a very tight installation schedule.

Other recent projects include:

Inclining Experiment and new stability booklet for a hopper dredger;

Computer verification of heeling test performance for a 4.8m inland waterways ferry boat to ISO 12217;

Strength calculations for barge towing points;

Stability analysis for a 99m Seismic survey ship;

Lightship check on a 130m freight ferry;

Previous projects include this beautiful, 1930's motor yacht, which was a veteran of the Dunkirk evacuations. CMD Group were asked to undertake surveys, an inclining experiment and stability calculations for planned refurbishments.
